Polished Plaster

Polished plaster, also known as Marble plaster or  Marmorino Veneziano, is admired for its distinct glossy look, which has enjoyed its recent revival around the globe. Sometimes referred to as polished plaster, its tradition goes back to the early Renaissance when marble imitation was the most feasible solution for the interiors. As the name suggests, it has a resemblance to a marble stone, but with modern designs, it can achieve much more than that.

Novelty finishes are using brave colours to create surfaces that are suitable for sleek office or smart and trendy home look. One of these examples will the smart and highly fashionable look of hotels in Vegas strip – polished walls, minimalistic interior, bespoke lighting. This interior is fresh and balances elegant simplicity with colour confidence. Another example of the use of marble plaster is the home offices or home-based consultancies, which reflect professional nature of the activities but are also highly functional.
